One of my favorite artists is Beyonce Knowles. She has come under fire recently for a song that she released that was titled "Bow Down Bitches". Alot of people felt that she was being a bad influence on little girls and that she was not being a good role model. I hated that this song was met with so much negativity. Men release songs of this same nature all the time but as soon as a woman does it there is a problem. In the song she talks about how she is the most powerful woman in music and a lot of people were not accepting of this song. I believe that if a man released a song similar to this it would have been much more readily accepted.
